#095: What If You Stopped Fixing Yourself and Started Finding What’s Already Working?

#095: What If You Stopped Fixing Yourself and Started Finding What’s Already Working?

What if the question keeping you stuck is not “What’s wrong with me?” but “When have I already been more courageous, creative, and connected than I give myself credit for?” For many creatives, self-doubt can become a default language—especially when the work feels unseen, unfinished, or vulnerable to judgment.

In this solo episode, Dwight explores appreciative inquiry: a way of meeting creative struggle without pretending it is not real. Rather than beginning with what is broken, he invites us to notice the conditions in which we have felt most alive, capable, and like ourselves—and to let those moments become evidence.

This is a conversation for the artist, maker, leader, or quiet creative who is tired of trying to criticize themselves into becoming better. It is an invitation to pause, remember a moment that felt true, and listen for what was present there: belonging, meaning, freedom, experimentation, care.

You are not a problem to solve. You are a person with a voice, a history, and more proof of your capacity than you may realize. Maybe the work is not to perform belonging, but to practice it—together.

This is Maddox & Dwight! More than anything, we want to connect and communicate with you. We don't want to think of you as listeners. We want to think of you as community. So, scroll to the bottom of the show notes and click the SUBSCRIBE link. Thank you!

00:00:11.540 --> 00:00:22.779
Dwight: Welcome to another edition of Community and Becoming, For the Love of Creatives. I'm your host, Dwight, and today we're going to walk through a concept, that

3
00:00:23.420 --> 00:00:25.690
Dwight: Maybe getting a lot of buzz.

4
00:00:26.110 --> 00:00:37.489
Dwight: I know that over the last several years you would have had to have been hiding under a rock not to have heard about AI, AI this and AI that, AI everything.

5
00:00:37.980 --> 00:00:46.400
Dwight: Here's the deal. Long before AI got the current buzz, there was a different kind of AI that a lot of

6
00:00:47.410 --> 00:00:53.580
Dwight: Different philosophers and researchers and practitioners were talking about, and we'll get into that.

7
00:00:54.160 --> 00:00:58.470
Dwight: The thing is, both of them can work hand in hand, but…

8
00:00:58.830 --> 00:01:03.560
Dwight: I really want to focus on this other kind of AI.

9
00:01:03.790 --> 00:01:07.730
Dwight: And allow us to lean in to really appreciate it.

10
00:01:08.980 --> 00:01:10.439
Dwight: Now, as we talk.

11
00:01:10.730 --> 00:01:16.960
Dwight: I want you to appreciate that your creative growth doesn't always begin with identifying what's wrong.

12
00:01:17.270 --> 00:01:21.890
Dwight: This is one of the central premises of the AI I want to talk about.

13
00:01:22.970 --> 00:01:24.350
Dwight: Sometimes.

14
00:01:25.400 --> 00:01:31.380
Dwight: Growth begins by noticing the moments when you felt most alive, or connected, or capable.

15
00:01:31.580 --> 00:01:39.080
Dwight: And like yourself, and then designing more of your life around the conditions that made those moments possible.

16
00:01:42.010 --> 00:01:43.940
Dwight: This is going to speak to you.

17
00:01:44.070 --> 00:01:54.289
Dwight: in such a way that I want you to hear it and say, yes, I want more of that. I want to lean into this way of thinking, being, and showing up.

18
00:01:54.290 --> 00:02:05.400
Dwight: Then I do the things that make me feel more constrained, or driven by fear of judgment, or comparison, or exhaustion, or lack of supportive community.

19
00:02:05.670 --> 00:02:08.000
Dwight: You want to hear more about this AI?

20
00:02:09.490 --> 00:02:14.069
Dwight: Well, turn up your earbuds and lean in, because I'm gonna…

21
00:02:14.400 --> 00:02:16.339
Dwight: Get into it with you.

22
00:02:17.900 --> 00:02:22.299
Dwight: So, what if the question keeping you stuck isn't

23
00:02:22.640 --> 00:02:26.000
Dwight: What's wrong with me? But instead, it's more like…

24
00:02:26.640 --> 00:02:30.909
Dwight: When have I already… when have I already been more courageous?

25
00:02:31.290 --> 00:02:32.420
Dwight: Creative?

26
00:02:32.760 --> 00:02:35.910
Dwight: And connected than I give myself credit for.

27
00:02:37.080 --> 00:02:39.210
Dwight: Doesn't that sound like a better question?

28
00:02:39.530 --> 00:02:40.190
Dwight: Okay.

29
00:02:43.270 --> 00:02:53.789
Dwight: Now, I've been hinting at it for a while, so I'll let the cat out of the bag. The AI that we're gonna talk about is appreciative inquiry.

30
00:02:56.710 --> 00:02:59.700
Dwight: I know, it's a… It's…

31
00:03:00.170 --> 00:03:07.160
Dwight: A breath of fresh air, because I'm not talking about prompting anything other than asking yourself a better question.

32
00:03:07.290 --> 00:03:10.830
Dwight: or… Presenting a better question.

33
00:03:11.080 --> 00:03:15.629
Dwight: Than looking at something that's broken and trying to fix it.

34
00:03:16.240 --> 00:03:20.069
Dwight: That's the beauty of the way Appreciative Inquiry works.

35
00:03:20.310 --> 00:03:23.240
Dwight: Instead of just trying to fix something broken.

36
00:03:23.710 --> 00:03:26.180
Dwight: We want to lean into how we can.

37
00:03:27.760 --> 00:03:31.670
Dwight: Strive for excellence. Go to a brighter horizon.

38
00:03:32.290 --> 00:03:35.359
Dwight: Make something the best it could possibly be.

39
00:03:36.150 --> 00:03:39.179
Dwight: And all of those things that might be.

40
00:03:39.460 --> 00:03:41.599
Dwight: Problems or things that are broken?

41
00:03:41.850 --> 00:03:43.859
Dwight: Somehow work themselves out.

42
00:03:45.450 --> 00:03:48.430
Dwight: All right, so let's get into this.

43
00:03:48.580 --> 00:03:52.029
Dwight: You've probably seen the familiar pattern of

44
00:03:52.370 --> 00:03:55.010
Dwight: Trying to solve created doubt by.

45
00:03:55.110 --> 00:03:57.550
Dwight: Just criticizing yourself a little harder.

46
00:03:58.270 --> 00:03:59.850
Dwight: How's that worked?

47
00:04:00.320 --> 00:04:08.680
Dwight: It… it probably just makes you feel like you're working into a rut, and you… it's just… I can't imagine

48
00:04:08.870 --> 00:04:11.719
Dwight: The weight that that… that has.

49
00:04:11.960 --> 00:04:15.750
Dwight: on… Trying to produce anything, because…

50
00:04:15.930 --> 00:04:20.429
Dwight: You've got all that clutter, all of that negativity, and

51
00:04:20.589 --> 00:04:25.240
Dwight: That whole frame of seeing something as broken that needs to be fixed.

52
00:04:25.520 --> 00:04:28.829
Dwight: Another way that we call it out when.

53
00:04:28.960 --> 00:04:36.220
Dwight: when you're in those circles of people who study appreciative inquiry is by naming our negativity bias.

54
00:04:37.040 --> 00:04:46.099
Dwight: And negativity bias has its place. It's the thing that allowed our ancestors to survive and make it so that we could be here. So.

55
00:04:46.840 --> 00:04:48.870
Dwight: I send out my gratitude.

56
00:04:49.960 --> 00:04:55.579
Dwight: But here's the thing: we're not hiding from tigers on the savannah anymore.

57
00:04:55.780 --> 00:05:03.270
Dwight: There aren't any great predators that are out to get us, but our heart rates

58
00:05:03.400 --> 00:05:11.049
Dwight: Have, that, that quickened pulse the same way whenever we're trying to deal with a deadline.

59
00:05:11.940 --> 00:05:14.190
Dwight: There's a better way to be.

60
00:05:15.460 --> 00:05:19.810
Dwight: If instead of being in that situation where we're always trying to fix something.

61
00:05:20.530 --> 00:05:22.249
Dwight: How about we…

62
00:05:22.710 --> 00:05:29.439
Dwight: Give ourselves just enough distance to step away from that whole problem frame for just a moment.

63
00:05:30.650 --> 00:05:34.420
Dwight: And then put ourselves in a new space where we say.

64
00:05:35.560 --> 00:05:40.999
Dwight: Can I remember a time when I shared something before it felt ready and it opened a door?

65
00:05:42.770 --> 00:05:44.210
Dwight: How does that feel?

66
00:05:45.770 --> 00:05:51.980
Dwight: Hang with me, and… By the end, you're gonna have a question, or some… or a few questions.

67
00:05:52.140 --> 00:06:00.250
Dwight: That you can use to recover evidence of your own capacity. And I am sure it is vast and great and wonderful.

68
00:06:02.270 --> 00:06:14.329
Dwight: Now, I know that my skeptics out there are already getting their itchy fingers ready to skip because they think it's something that it's not. This is not toxic positivity.

69
00:06:14.850 --> 00:06:18.640
Dwight: It's not pretending the hard things aren't hard.

70
00:06:20.450 --> 00:06:22.940
Dwight: It's starting from a different place.

71
00:06:23.320 --> 00:06:24.250
Dwight: That's it.

72
00:06:24.620 --> 00:06:25.470
Dwight: It's…

73
00:06:25.920 --> 00:06:34.430
Dwight: a different perspective, and it's a tool that you can use to make it through any number of things. It's shown up in

74
00:06:35.120 --> 00:06:39.089
Dwight: A variety of industries, and a lot of spaces where

75
00:06:40.380 --> 00:06:51.070
Dwight: People that are in scientific industries and major corporations have Gone all in on… studying this.

76
00:06:51.330 --> 00:06:57.559
Dwight: Long before they started thinking about the generative artificial intelligence.

77
00:06:58.030 --> 00:07:04.429
Dwight: So stick around, and we'll talk through how you can use it in your own creative endeavors.

78
00:07:06.780 --> 00:07:08.109
Dwight: Now, here's the deal.

79
00:07:10.270 --> 00:07:13.869
Dwight: If we're in the business of fixing ourselves.

80
00:07:14.370 --> 00:07:20.309
Dwight: That can't feel very good. It's it's not comforting to think that you're broken.

81
00:07:21.900 --> 00:07:24.859
Dwight: I'll let you in on a little secret. You're not broken.

82
00:07:27.050 --> 00:07:31.570
Dwight: Just because you may have that twinge of

83
00:07:32.460 --> 00:07:36.710
Dwight: Fear that comes from showing your work and

84
00:07:37.010 --> 00:07:45.169
Dwight: And getting a little bit of rejection, or an opinion that May sting a little deep.

85
00:07:45.890 --> 00:07:47.210
Dwight: It just makes you human.

86
00:07:49.190 --> 00:07:58.369
Dwight: And just because you can't… make everything land exactly the same way. We're all works in progress. It's part of the learning process.

87
00:07:59.130 --> 00:08:02.959
Dwight: Inconsistency isn't something to be afraid of.

88
00:08:03.150 --> 00:08:08.759
Dwight: It shows that you're going up against your creative edge.

89
00:08:10.280 --> 00:08:17.940
Dwight: And… If you're thinking about your lack of visibility as showing that You don't have what it takes to…

90
00:08:18.570 --> 00:08:22.479
Dwight: Make it in your craft, well, hold on, we, we can't all.

91
00:08:23.060 --> 00:08:25.470
Dwight: Start out on top.

92
00:08:27.250 --> 00:08:36.639
Dwight: We have to put in the reps, we have to practice, we have to be okay with being bad before we have any hope of being good.

93
00:08:37.580 --> 00:08:42.249
Dwight: And the more you lean into those reps and get that practice in.

94
00:08:43.490 --> 00:08:48.170
Dwight: The better chance you're going to have of… being willing to…

95
00:08:48.920 --> 00:08:53.700
Dwight: Roll with whatever is thrown at you when you're given a big stage.

96
00:08:55.710 --> 00:08:59.890
Dwight: I'll share with you a little bit of what my own journey has been like.

97
00:09:00.250 --> 00:09:02.350
Dwight: There have been a lot of times when

98
00:09:02.490 --> 00:09:09.129
Dwight: I have put together something that I care deeply about. Some episodes of this very podcast.

99
00:09:09.730 --> 00:09:14.810
Dwight: And a lot of them haven't seen the light of day. There are…

100
00:09:15.200 --> 00:09:21.500
Dwight: A lot of great conversations that we've had with some prior guests that

101
00:09:21.710 --> 00:09:24.510
Dwight: Haven't gotten a lot of listens.

102
00:09:24.830 --> 00:09:32.480
Dwight: There's no rhyme or reason, it's just that when they were new, there were other things that were capturing people's attention.

103
00:09:32.930 --> 00:09:41.699
Dwight: And I've been pleasantly surprised at some of the things that I've posted in different places, some of my LinkedIn content, my.

104
00:09:41.880 --> 00:09:55.340
Dwight: newsletter that I have on LinkedIn that seemed to have gotten a great deal of attention, and it's a place where I've been able to find my voice and refine what it is that I'm working on, and

105
00:09:56.340 --> 00:10:04.329
Dwight: Sometimes I'm pleasant… pleasantly surprised with How some of the… Versions of this podcast that

106
00:10:04.450 --> 00:10:07.459
Dwight: are thrown up on YouTube.

107
00:10:08.100 --> 00:10:15.980
Dwight: seem to do incredibly well. The YouTube version is the least produced, least polished version. There's no packaging, it's just…

108
00:10:16.170 --> 00:10:22.220
Dwight: The raw video, and… I was moved to see that.

109
00:10:23.140 --> 00:10:29.859
Dwight: One of my solo episodes was one that seemed to get a spike in the views.

110
00:10:32.090 --> 00:10:37.590
Dwight: And here's the thing, I… I don't need a lot of… external validation.

111
00:10:37.890 --> 00:10:41.839
Dwight: The nature of this kind of work is one where it's lonely.

112
00:10:42.500 --> 00:10:48.869
Dwight: And the proof comes much later after the hard work is done and I've made my peace with that.

113
00:10:50.560 --> 00:11:00.770
Dwight: If I needed to have a bunch of likes and approval, or any kind of external validation, I would have given this up a long time ago.

114
00:11:02.150 --> 00:11:08.529
Dwight: What I find is that this allows me to Own my craft, to…

115
00:11:09.060 --> 00:11:12.049
Dwight: Get comfortable with what it is to.

116
00:11:12.690 --> 00:11:16.700
Dwight: Put myself in front of people, and just show up as the real me.

117
00:11:18.970 --> 00:11:21.250
Dwight: So, back to appreciative inquiry.

118
00:11:23.050 --> 00:11:29.020
Dwight: I want you to think of it as a way of creating change by studying life-giving moments.

119
00:11:29.240 --> 00:11:38.450
Dwight: strengths, relationships, And possibilities, rather than only beginning with a problem that you need to fix.

120
00:11:40.670 --> 00:11:42.969
Dwight: It's not that we ignore the struggle.

121
00:11:43.190 --> 00:11:45.210
Dwight: We ask a better question about it.

122
00:11:47.290 --> 00:11:53.919
Dwight: A question like, What if you moved through something like this before? And what was present in you?

123
00:11:54.150 --> 00:11:55.560
Dwight: Or around you.

124
00:11:55.660 --> 00:11:58.169
Dwight: Or between you and other people.

125
00:12:01.230 --> 00:12:03.850
Dwight: There have been times when,

126
00:12:04.470 --> 00:12:08.880
Dwight: I've had to deal with things that made me… And.

127
00:12:09.670 --> 00:12:19.290
Dwight: have to power through and draw from prior experiences. And these are my own opportunities to tap into.

128
00:12:21.550 --> 00:12:29.210
Dwight: Other times when I felt more alive, other times when I knew that I had hit something.

129
00:12:29.330 --> 00:12:36.140
Dwight: That resonated, that seemed to… make the people that I was working with come alive.

130
00:12:37.370 --> 00:12:40.509
Dwight: And it was when I would.

131
00:12:40.780 --> 00:12:42.600
Dwight: Take a moment of silence.

132
00:12:43.370 --> 00:12:44.750
Dwight: To go within.

133
00:12:45.400 --> 00:12:47.980
Dwight: And think back and remember, when

134
00:12:48.720 --> 00:12:52.379
Dwight: Was it that I was best able to show up?

135
00:12:52.500 --> 00:12:58.419
Dwight: When was I able to… Hold the room. Hold the attention.

136
00:13:00.110 --> 00:13:01.870
Dwight: Get the idea out.

137
00:13:03.190 --> 00:13:06.719
Dwight: And it just, it takes me a few.

138
00:13:06.900 --> 00:13:15.670
Dwight: seconds, but… I've learned to have the confidence to pause, To roll back those tapes.

139
00:13:16.710 --> 00:13:21.289
Dwight: Look at what it was that really landed in the moment.

140
00:13:21.580 --> 00:13:23.040
Dwight: And bring it forward.

141
00:13:24.290 --> 00:13:29.340
Dwight: And I'll share with you one of the things that I do when I'm making

142
00:13:29.850 --> 00:13:35.199
Dwight: these podcasts, or my short video content that I post on LinkedIn.

143
00:13:36.670 --> 00:13:42.920
Dwight: is I make it as much as possible not about me, but I try to imagine you.

144
00:13:43.150 --> 00:13:46.680
Dwight: I try to think about what's going to serve you as you listen.

145
00:13:47.140 --> 00:13:52.029
Dwight: I try to put myself in your shoes and think about what's going on in your world.

146
00:13:52.290 --> 00:14:01.999
Dwight: And that makes it so that it becomes less of a performance, and becomes more like a situation where I am in front of a trusted client.

147
00:14:02.180 --> 00:14:08.000
Dwight: Or a… a friend that I've known for a long time, or someone who I deeply care about.

148
00:14:08.600 --> 00:14:11.820
Dwight: Because ultimately, That's how…

149
00:14:12.260 --> 00:14:17.859
Dwight: I look at the people that are going to be on the receiving end of what it is that I'm saying.

150
00:14:18.350 --> 00:14:20.020
Dwight: You're another beautiful soul.

151
00:14:20.610 --> 00:14:23.110
Dwight: And you're someone that I care about.

152
00:14:24.130 --> 00:14:30.069
Dwight: So, for me, Finding a way of making it so that.

153
00:14:30.680 --> 00:14:32.110
Dwight: I'm serving.

154
00:14:32.230 --> 00:14:33.150
Dwight: Freely.

155
00:14:33.330 --> 00:14:34.860
Dwight: happily, openly.

156
00:14:35.480 --> 00:14:38.719
Dwight: and being grateful for the privilege of serving.

157
00:14:38.910 --> 00:14:43.619
Dwight: is how I can show up in a way that's fully me and authentic.

158
00:14:45.710 --> 00:14:47.710
Dwight: Your frame might be a little different.

159
00:14:48.050 --> 00:14:50.589
Dwight: It may be that you need to have.

160
00:14:51.270 --> 00:14:57.579
Dwight: A specific tune on to get yourself into the right mindset to do your best work.

161
00:14:57.720 --> 00:15:00.329
Dwight: Or it could be that maybe you.

162
00:15:01.420 --> 00:15:10.350
Dwight: pull up a… Treasured note from, someone that Appreciated something that you did.

163
00:15:10.650 --> 00:15:12.889
Dwight: And it's the fuel that you need to…

164
00:15:14.030 --> 00:15:15.889
Dwight: Approach the task in front of you.

165
00:15:18.110 --> 00:15:20.019
Dwight: Whatever it is that you draw from.

166
00:15:21.960 --> 00:15:23.719
Dwight: The whole point is to.

167
00:15:23.870 --> 00:15:30.189
Dwight: Put yourself in a place where you're not so focused on just whatever the short-term thing is, but having a broader view.

168
00:15:30.300 --> 00:15:34.879
Dwight: Thinking about what made you great before, and thinking about how much

169
00:15:35.030 --> 00:15:40.410
Dwight: More you can achieve far beyond whatever it is the current obstacle is.

170
00:15:43.480 --> 00:15:47.900
Dwight: I would like you to take a moment to pause and think about

171
00:15:48.970 --> 00:15:53.409
Dwight: Drawing your own totem, your own way of…

172
00:15:53.750 --> 00:15:57.579
Dwight: Being able to get into the right mind space.

173
00:15:58.030 --> 00:16:01.860
Dwight: to… Set yourself up.

174
00:16:02.440 --> 00:16:09.160
Dwight: To get into the… The right mode for… Executing your own appreciative inquiry.

175
00:16:10.390 --> 00:16:14.210
Dwight: Now, this could look like you… Going and grabbing a journal.

176
00:16:15.170 --> 00:16:18.530
Dwight: And I realized that you might be driving, so it…

177
00:16:18.850 --> 00:16:21.419
Dwight: I'm not going to ask you to close your eyes.

178
00:16:22.000 --> 00:16:24.409
Dwight: But I want you to just pause.

179
00:16:24.920 --> 00:16:27.430
Dwight: And you can journal, or you can just sit with it.

180
00:16:27.810 --> 00:16:32.049
Dwight: Don't want to be too directive, because I want you to do what works for you.

181
00:16:34.860 --> 00:16:36.280
Dwight: I want you to…

182
00:16:36.530 --> 00:16:43.420
Dwight: John Murcott, engage in this exercise. Think of a time in the last year when you felt most like yourself as a creative.

183
00:16:43.960 --> 00:16:45.159
Dwight: What were you doing?

184
00:16:46.570 --> 00:16:47.889
Dwight: Who is around you?

185
00:16:49.550 --> 00:16:51.459
Dwight: What were you contributing?

186
00:16:53.300 --> 00:16:56.269
Dwight: And what did that moment make possible?

187
00:17:01.140 --> 00:17:05.680
Dwight: Have you got that image in your mind? Can you… can you see that moment?

188
00:17:06.119 --> 00:17:08.219
Dwight: Can you hear it? Feel it?

189
00:17:09.470 --> 00:17:10.380
Dwight: Okay.

190
00:17:11.119 --> 00:17:11.790
Dwight: Okay.

191
00:17:12.470 --> 00:17:14.930
Dwight: Now, I want you to think through a few things.

192
00:17:15.540 --> 00:17:19.109
Dwight: If you're going through that exercise, and you could name a person.

193
00:17:20.000 --> 00:17:23.180
Dwight: Belonging may be a condition for your courage.

194
00:17:25.450 --> 00:17:30.729
Dwight: If, as you were going through it, you were reliving a specific project.

195
00:17:31.610 --> 00:17:35.460
Dwight: Meaning or autonomy may be essential for you.

196
00:17:37.580 --> 00:17:42.339
Dwight: If you were thinking about what it was like to share some unfinished work.

197
00:17:43.190 --> 00:17:45.790
Dwight: Experimentation may be one of your strengths.

198
00:17:48.000 --> 00:17:49.790
Dwight: If you couldn't think of anything.

199
00:17:51.070 --> 00:17:51.990
Dwight: Hold on.

200
00:17:52.820 --> 00:17:55.229
Dwight: Coming back to our theme.

201
00:17:55.450 --> 00:17:56.640
Dwight: You're not broken.

202
00:17:57.000 --> 00:17:58.450
Dwight: It's perfectly fine.

203
00:18:01.160 --> 00:18:07.450
Dwight: You need to do whatever it is you need to do to borrow evidence from someone who's seen you at your best.

204
00:18:08.480 --> 00:18:11.479
Dwight: I'm sure you won't have to look far, because

205
00:18:11.940 --> 00:18:14.650
Dwight: I know that there are people who are cheering you on.

206
00:18:18.700 --> 00:18:23.479
Dwight: Now, what we just went through is something that I would likely go through in a

207
00:18:23.710 --> 00:18:31.090
Dwight: a coaching session, be it one-on-one or with a group or in a workshop or something that we would visit in a keynote.

208
00:18:33.860 --> 00:18:35.550
Dwight: What's key there is…

209
00:18:37.020 --> 00:18:42.149
Dwight: I want to make sure that there's enough safety for you to feel like you can tell the truth.

210
00:18:43.800 --> 00:18:48.439
Dwight: And if not to a group, or even to me in the moment.

211
00:18:49.120 --> 00:18:52.289
Dwight: There's enough space there for you to tell the truth to yourself.

212
00:18:53.090 --> 00:18:58.439
Dwight: And you can look for the evidence beneath the story, beneath whatever it is that you've relived.

213
00:18:58.630 --> 00:19:02.099
Dwight: And turn that evidence into your next experiment.

214
00:19:05.520 --> 00:19:12.500
Dwight: I'm interested in giving you Just space to work, not a personality transplant.

215
00:19:13.500 --> 00:19:18.109
Dwight: I want you to recognize the conditions where your own voice gets clearer.

216
00:19:19.690 --> 00:19:21.030
Dwight: You feel braver.

217
00:19:21.870 --> 00:19:27.900
Dwight: And the thing that's at the core of your essence becomes more alive and available.

218
00:19:31.680 --> 00:19:35.359
Dwight: Now, if this series of questions opens something up for you.

219
00:19:36.030 --> 00:19:43.130
Dwight: I don't want you to let that answer stay private. I want you to allow your light to shine.

220
00:19:43.920 --> 00:19:48.529
Dwight: Share it with one other creative who helps you remember who you are.

221
00:19:49.940 --> 00:19:55.689
Dwight: Then come find us at For the Love of Creatives, where the goal is not to perform belonging.

222
00:19:56.300 --> 00:19:57.949
Dwight: It's to practice it.

223
00:19:58.430 --> 00:20:02.050
Dwight: It's to embody it, it's to make it real.

224
00:20:04.540 --> 00:20:09.080
Dwight: And if this conversation gave you language for something you've been carrying.

225
00:20:10.100 --> 00:20:11.280
Dwight: Subscribe.

226
00:20:11.420 --> 00:20:13.520
Dwight: Rate, review the show.

227
00:20:14.300 --> 00:20:19.230
Dwight: Your review helps another creative who's searching for a place to begin.

228
00:20:21.050 --> 00:20:23.820
Dwight: And we want this to be your creative home.

229
00:20:25.270 --> 00:20:29.869
Dwight: We have lots of other ways that you can interact, but I don't like to overwhelm you with any

230
00:20:30.550 --> 00:20:34.159
Dwight: Check out our page and find our SpeakPipe link.

231
00:20:34.510 --> 00:20:43.580
Dwight: We'll make an effort to put it in the show notes so that you can find it, and you can just leave us a voice message if that's your preferred way of reaching out to us.

232
00:20:44.230 --> 00:20:50.100
Dwight: I look at all the comments that are on all the different places, be it Spotify or Instagram or…

233
00:20:50.230 --> 00:20:51.839
Dwight: LinkedIn, what have you.

234
00:20:53.700 --> 00:20:57.749
Dwight: I've enjoyed spending a little bit of time with you, and I hope that you have

235
00:20:57.950 --> 00:21:07.329
Dwight: Enjoyed going with me on this journey of appreciative inquiry, and that you have taken some tools to access when you are at your best.

236
00:21:07.720 --> 00:21:10.800
Dwight: And I look forward to you joining me next time.

237
